Seegra is a small village of 501 hectares in Jhunjhunu Tehsil in Jhunjhunu district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Seegra depends on MANDAWA, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 64.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Seegra is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Seegra's pin code is 333704[4], and village code is 00683800. The area of Seegra is segregated as 64 hectares irrigated area, 372 hectares unirrigated, the 45 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 20 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Seegra has One post office (Sigra B.O) and One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Seegra has Two banks, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Seegra is a census village in the district of Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1241 and has total administration over 233 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

According to a census 2011 report, 630 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 295 male, 335 female with 535 (84.92%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 253 males and 282 females. 159 males and 250 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 18 male and 15 female agricultural labor. 95 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of MANDAWA and Jhunjhunu to sell rope and make their living.
