NEKLO was founded in 2009 with the head office in San Bruno, California and development center in Minsk, Belarus. As of July 2021, NEKLO is headquartered in California, Belarus, and Ukraine.
The company originally focused on global High tech|high-tech market providing custom Magento and Web application|web app development;.[1]. Today the company specializes in the custom software and web development for many industries, such as Retail & Ecommerce, Energy & Transportation, Healthcare, Construction, and others.
In 2013, NEKLO's R&D center in Minsk became a resident at Belarus High Technologies Park[2]. In the same year, the company created its own e-store of Magento plugins.
In 2015, NEKLO was one of the first companies to introduce the new Bluetooth-powered technology iBeacon in Eastern Europe[3][4][5]; and promote it in Minsk at art-event Freaky Summer Party 2015[6]. In the next 3 years, the company actively implement this technology in Russia[7].
In 2016-2018, NEKLO became the organizer of Meet Magento[8], an annual meetup organised by Magento partners. The company helped organize the events in the Czech Republic[9][10][11], Poland, and Italy[12][13]
