Semri Ta. Purva is a small village of 584 hectares in Karchhana Tehsil in Allahabad district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Semri Ta. Purva depends on KARCHANA, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One Well supply and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Semri Ta. According to a census 2011 report, 2221 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 1288 male, 933 female with 1456 (65.56%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 977 males and 479 females. 471 males and 168 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 290 male and 155 female agricultural labor. 765 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of KARCHANA and Allahabad to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
