Manpiya is a small village of 1163 hectares in Jaisalmer Tehsil in Jaisalmer district, nicknamed ""The Golden city"" in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Manpiya depends on JAISALMER, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, One tank, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Manpiya is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Manpiya's pin code is 345001[4], and village code is 02036400. The area of Manpiya is segregated as 176.92 hectares unirrigated, the 593.46 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 392.47 hectare area not available for cultivation.

## Demographics[edit]

Manpiya is a census village in the district of Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 369 and has total administration over 61 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

* Manpiya has 90 children, 48 boys and 42 girls.

* Scheduled tribe counts for 304 (82.38%) males constitute 157 (42.55%) of the population and females 147 (39.84%).

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jaisalmer to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
