Cleverclip is a Switzerland design agency specializing in Tutorial explainer videos and Interaction design interactive content. It was founded in 2013 by Carlo Badini and offers video design, infographics, graphic design and presentations. Cleverclip's clients include transportation providers Lufthansa and DB, automotive companies BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Hyundai, technology companies Samsung and Oracle and consumer brands Johnson & Johnson, Hugo Boss and Axa.[1] Cleverclip is a remote company.[2][3][4][5] They also frequently publish guides to help startups switch to a remote-first hiring and operations model.[6][7][8][9] During the COVID-19 pandemic, Cleverclip home office guides to help employees of other companies transition to remote work.[10][11][12]
Carlo Badini started shooting and designing videos at high school.[13] Shortly after, he started making videos professionally in 2013 and founded Cleverclip in Bern, Switzerland while studying at the University of Bern.[14][15][16]
In 2017, Cleverclip launched Dump the Trump, a card game about Donald Trump, on the crowdfunding platform Kickstarter.[17][18][19] Originally intended to be an explainer video about how Trump was Donald Trump presidential campaign elected, the game is loosely based on Mafia and players have to distinguish between true and Veracity of statements by false Trump statements.[20][21][22] Commenting on the appearance of whistleblowers and politicians such as Vladimir Putin, Badini said "developing a working concept together with the figures was already difficult; each role must be well balanced, not too strong, not too weak" in an interview with RT.[23] In 2018, Badini was listed in Forbes 30 Under 30 in Europe.[24] In November 2019, Cleverclip launched Bessere Kommunikation, a podcast.[25][26] Episodes include information about, landing pages, designing presentations, and other digital marketing-related topics.[27] In 2020, Badini stepped down as CEO to start a new company Koj that offers a furniture subscription service with Anand Chowdhary, former CEO of Oswald Labs.[28][29]
