In 2020, this company produced surgical masks for use in the COVID-19 pandemic. Since the spin-off of BYD Electronics in 2007, BYD has been a multi-pronged enterprise that relies on automobiles, electronics OEMs and batteries. As BYD's financial report shows, BYD's business can be divided into three major segments: automobiles and related products, mobile phone component assembly, secondary rechargeable batteries and photovoltaics. According to Wind data, in terms of the revenue composition of BYD in 2020, the mobile phone parts and assembly business accounted for 38.34%, the automotive business accounted for 53.64% and the secondary rechargeable battery business accounted for 7.72%.[7][8] ## Production bases BYD Electronic has production bases both inside and outside of China.
