Amone is a small village of 734 hectares in Bicholim Tehsil in North Goa district, known and rated to have the best quality of life in India (based on the commission’s “12 Indicators”)[2] in the state of Goa, India.[3] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Amone depends on SANQUELIM, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[4] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 1.86% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Amone is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Amone's pin code is 403107[5], and village code is 00010300. The area of Amone is segregated as 6.86 hectares irrigated area, 362.06 hectares unirrigated, the 70.65 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 294.49 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Amone is a census village in the district of North Goa, Goa. The village has a total population of 2963 and has total administration over 694 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.
As per the census 2011 report, 2437 people are literate in Amone out of which 1283 are males and 1154 are females.

According to a census 2011 report, 1005 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 809 male, 196 female with 847 (84.28%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 682 males and 165 females. 46 males and 21 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 8 male and 1 female agricultural labor. 158 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of SANQUELIM and North Goa to sell coconut and make their living.
