Stephen B. Miller is a former judge for the 37th Circuit Court in Calhoun County, Michigan. He joined the court in 1987.[1] Miller retired on January 1, 2017.[2]

Education[edit]

Miller received his B.A. from Michigan State University in 1967 and his J.D. from Wayne State University in 1973.[1]

Career[edit]

Miller began his career in 1973 as a Legal Aid staff attorney. The following year, he became an assistant prosecuting attorney for Calhoun County. He then worked as a private practice attorney from 1975 through 1976. In January of 1977, he was appointed to the 10th District Court. He served there until 1987, when he joined the circuit court bench.[1]

2010 election[edit]

Miller was re-elected (along with Allen Garbrecht) in the general election on November 2, 2010. He received 50.64 percent of the vote.[3]
