Kanod Rawlotan is a small village of 9746 hectares in Jaisalmer Tehsil in Jaisalmer district, nicknamed ""The Golden city"" in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kanod Rawlotan depends on JAISALMER, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Kanod Rawlotan is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Kanod Rawlotan's pin code is 345033[4], and village code is 02024200. The area of Kanod Rawlotan is segregated as 2264 hectares unirrigated, the 2757 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 4260.96 hectare area not available for cultivation.

The workforce is 198 male, 108 female with 226 (73.86%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 187 males and 39 females. 30 males and 17 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 74 male and 12 female agricultural labor. 80 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jaisalmer to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
