Malta (Maltese: Malta), officially the Republic of Malta (Maltese: Repubblika ta’ Malta), is an island in the western Mediterranean Sea. It is a former British colony, and a member of the European Union. English-speaking, it also has its own language, Maltese, which is related to Arabic.
