Houston Stewart Chamberlain (September 9, 1855 – January 9, 1927) was an English author of books on political philosophy and natural science. Chamberlain's two-volume book, Die Grundlagen des neunzehnten Jahrhunderts (The Foundations of the Nineteenth Century), published in 1899, became one of the many references for the pan-Germanic movement of the early 20th century, and later of the Völkisch philosophy of National Socialism.[1]

In 1908 he married Eva von Bülow, who was the daughter of Richard Wagner and his wife Cosima.

Chamberlain was born in Southsea, Hampshire, England to William Charles and Eliza Chamberlain on September 9, 1855.
