In geology, Rodinia (from the Russian Родина, Rodina; "Name means::motherland") refers to one of the oldest known supercontinents, which contained most or all of Earth's then-current landmass. It is thought to be the original supercontinent that existed before the Flood. This continent then broke up during the early stages of the Flood, forming another supercontinent called Pangaea mid way through the catastrophic event. Pangaea, mostly underwater at this time, broke up to form the current continents which emerged after the Flood.
