He ran in the June 28 special election to replace Esteban Bovo, Jr. (R) who resigned to seek the office of Miami-Dade County Commissioner. ## Elections[edit] ### 2011[edit] Moreno was defeated by Jose Oliva (R) in the June 28, 2011 special election.
