Leslie Orgel was a scientist who was active in research into atheistic theories of the origin of life. He was a biochemist whose research included the structure of RNA and DNA. He was on the faculty of the Salk Institute for Biological Studies in San Diego. [1] During his career, he proposed the hypothesis of Panspermia, that life on Earth may have come from space.
