SOFTSWISS is a software development company that provides gaming software and payment processing solutions for online gambling operators. It also provides gaming operation services and licensing infrastructure. It maintains hundreds of online casinos, mostly through white label partners.[1][2][3][4] [5][6]

The company was initially launched in 2008 to develop online auction software, but officially founded only in 2012.[7][8]


Company Operations

As of January 2021, SOFTSWISS consists of approximately 800 employees.[9]

The company was founded by Ivan Montik and Dmitry Yaikau in 2008, who are both from Belarus,[10] where SOFTSWISS’ software is developed.[1][11] It is a registered brand and trademark of the SOFTSWISS Group, which comprises multiple companies and brands operating in various locations.[12][13][14] In 2013, in London, SOFTSWISS online casino platform was presented by Ivan Montik for the first time at the ICE Totally Gaming show.[15]

SOFTSWISS transported over 100 employees from Belarus to the Ukraine in August 2020, following difficulties the company faced in light of the local political situation in Belarus.[16][1]

In February 2021, SOFTSWISS received a license for operating in Nigeria, focusing on sports betting.[17]

In June 2021, SOFTSWISS has gained a foothold to operate in the regulated Greek market, as the brand received the Greek gaming license for Online Casino operations from the Hellenic Gaming Commission.[18]

Affilka by SoftSwiss has launched the brand’s own website during summer 2021 and became an independent sub-brand of the group. The website launch comes in hand with Affilka coming close to partnering with over 100 diverse projects. Coming from its parent brand, SoftSwiss, Affilka’s team boasts expertise of 10+ years in the iGaming industry.[19] The affiliate management solution was once part of the SoftSwiss Online Casino Platform, yet in 2018 it evolved into a stand-alone product. The affiliate marketing solution officially began operating under the Affilka brand name in November 2020. [20]

Since spring 2021, the company has expanded its presence to Georgia and Poland.[21]

Controversies

SOFTSWISS claim to have introduced a “Provably Fair” verification feature into certain gambling games they provide.[22][23] However, there are indications that this assertion derives from certification issued by independent laboratories, iTechLabs and BMM Testlabs.[24]

Cryptocurrency Payment Solutions

SOFTSWISS began providing cryptocurrency payment processing solutions in 2013, integrating them into SOFTSWISS' and their clients’ casino websites.[4] Since then, the company has kept investing in cryptocurrency-based solutions.[25][26][27] Currently, SOFTSWISS supports payments in several coins, including bitcoin.[28][29]
