Bewitched? is a religious tract written by Jack Chick. It was originally printed in 2000, and remains an in-stock title. It is listed on their website under the subject "Drugs/Alcohol" and also tagged as "Occult". The tract's title comes from the TV sitcom of the same name; Satan calls a meeting of his chief demons to be held after he watches an episode, commenting that the sitcom "paved the way" for the current popularity of occult and vampire programming shows. At the meeting, all the demons report that things are going well in their realms. But one demon reports "trouble" -- a "praying grandmother" seeking the salvation of Ashley Wilson, her teenage granddaughter with a history of heavy drug use which has resulted in permanent brain damage that will soon take her life (and lead to her eternity in Hell, where her mother went the year prior). Satan orders that all actions be taken to keep Ashley from trusting in Christ. The demons first lead Ashley to a medium, where a seance results in a "visitation" from her mother who says all is well. Joyous, Ashley visits her grandmother and share the good news, only to learn that grandmother knows Ashley was visited by a "familiar spirit" impersonating her mother. But her grandmother fails to discuss salvation with her, which nearly turns fatal when Ashley has another flashback leading to a massive heart attack, putting her in a coma. Though demons torment her grandmother, she continues to pray (and the demons are seen being "escorted" away by an angel). Ashley awakens from her coma, in time for her grandmother to lead her to salvation before she passes away early the next morning. In the final scene, Satan is telling the demon "I have ways of making you really sorry" for not keeping its hold on Ashley's soul. ## External Links[edit] Bewitched?
