He began his career as a journalist and worked for several newspapers in Michigan before transitioning into the political communications field. ## Career[edit] Mark Fisk has worked as a print journalist at several newspapers in Michigan including: The Oakland Press, The Herald-Palladium and the Kalamazoo Gazette. He won first prize for feature writing from the Michigan Press Association in 2000.[1] In 2002, Fisk served as communications director for Michigan Senator Gary Peters (D) when Peters ran for Attorney General of Michigan and as press secretary for former Representative David Bonior (D) from Michigan's 10th Congressional District when Bonior ran for Governor of Michigan.
