Murphy graduated from Janesville High School. She earned a B.S. in nursing from the University of Wisconsin at Oshkosh in 1984 and an M.A. in organizational leadership from the College of St. Catherine in 2005.[1] Murphy's career experience includes working as a registered nurse and the executive director and founder of Our Stories.
