Claude Heller (born 1949) is the current Mexican Ambassador to the United Nations since Feb, 2007; Chair of the Security Council Working Group on Children and Armed Conflict. He studied at the Colegio de Mexico and the Graduate Institute of International Studies, in Geneva, Switzerland.
Heller, member of the Mexican Diplomatic service since 1980, has been Mexican Ambassador to Switzerland (1989 to 1991 ), Austria (1992 and 1995), Cuba (1995 to 1998), France (2001 to 2007), and he was Mexico’s Permanent Representative to the Organization of American States from 1998 to 2001,
Heller is the author of several books and articles. He wrote with Rosario Green (ex-wife): Surgimiento y proyeccion del Tercer Mundo. [1]
