Classification[edit | edit source]

Hypothyroidism may be classified according to TSH levels into 3 different sub types: Primary hypothyroidism, subclinical hypothyroidism, and central hypothyroidism

Subclinical hypothyroidism		↑
Central hypothyroidism	Secondary hypothyroidism	↓	pituitary gland
