Marianne Lloyd Aho is a judge on the Florida 4th Circuit Court. She was appointed to the court by Governor Rick Scott (R) in April 2014.[1]
Lloyd Aho was up for election in 2016. No other candidates filed for the primary race, which was to be held on August 30, 2016. The unopposed election was canceled, and Lloyd Aho was automatically re-elected to a six-year term ending in January 2023.
Aho received an undergraduate degree from Rice University and a law degree from the Florida State University. Prior to joining the court, Aho was a shareholder with Marks Gray, P.A. from 2008 to 2014. She became an attorney in 1991.[1]
Florida's 20 circuit courts all had seats up for election in 2016. Of the 151 seats up for election, 125 saw only one candidate file for the election. The unopposed races were canceled and the sole candidates were automatically elected. Of the 26 opposed races, only 10 saw more than two candidates file. [2]
