Eytan Modiano from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, Massachusetts was named Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) in 2012[1] for contributions to cross-layer resource allocation algorithms for wireless, satellite, and optical networks.
