Emmanuel Mounier (1905 - 1950) was a French thinker and writer. He was Director of the Catholic review Esprit, the organ of the Personalist movement. Mounier wrote "The Personalist Manifesto" and "Traité du caractère". > A personalist civilization is one whose structure and spirit are directed towards the development as persons of all the individuals constituting it.
